hi world. remember me? the devoted blogger? hahaha ya, not.
so much has changed since the last time we chatted..
i finished my very last semester at uvu!! wahoo! i was sooo ready to be done with uvu. don't get me wrong, it was great, but i need a change. i will miss the giant hallways that protected me from the snow as i walked to class. But now i'm on to better things! namely, the university of utah!
i cannot even express how excited I am to be a ute! i love the campus and the people i have met so far and let's not forget to mention the institute. i love the feeling in the institute. i have made the greatest friends that have hade such an amazing impact on my life through rho and the institute.
speaking of rho, i was just put in as the president for the next year. i am so excited for this next year. i have the greatest girls in all of lambda delta sigma (or lambda delt like my gma calls it). i was really overwhelmed when I was called. although I had some idea I would be called (my advisor had been dropping not-so-subtle hints for a few months) i was not prepared for what i would go through trying to pick a presidency. i really struggled but with the help of a fathers blessing and a lot of prayer, i was inspired to pick the best presidency a girl could ever ask for. they are some of the most amazing girls i have ever met and i am so excited to serve with them this year.
i officially made the move to a singles ward. yup, i know. it's weird for me too. but i am liking it more than i expected. kels came with me too, which is great. we meet at the barbie building off of highland drive. it definitely is the epitome of a singles ward. in the first two weeks we have had talks on finding our e.c.s, agency, and being chaste. yup. love it. there's a couple of hotties including our executive secretary, but i'm pretty sure every girl in the ward is drooling over him. sunday school is seriously over my head thanks to a class full of rms but maybe i'll learn something eventually. with the move, i was released from my calling as rs instructor (even though i would have been released anyway because of Rho). most people think i'm crazy, but i really liked teaching. i learned so much and i really learned to love relief society from that calling. although i will like having my sunday mornings back!
in other news, i bought a new car! okay, it's the furthest thing from new but it's new to me. i adore it! it is a blue isuzu trooper. even though it costs me an arm and a leg to fill it with gas, i love it and wouldn't trade it for anything!
ya so life is great. i couldn't ask for more.
ps... i could end this post with the standard "goal to be better at blogging" but ya'll know that that's not going to happen. haha
over and out.
