A few weeks ago, my friend Nicole invited me to the Utah-BYU football game in Provo. Her mom couldn't be there so they had an extra ticket which I was more than happy to take off of their hands! I rode down with her family and we picked up Nicole and headed to the game! This was the first time that I've been to LaVell Edwards Stadium and dang did it feel good to be wearing red in there! After we parked and got in we went to this sweet food tent for the sponsors. (Nicole's dad is a big wig at Deseret First, who sponsors the Deseret First Duel) After we got our badges checked and picked up our free tee shirts, we made our way into the tent and ate  a seriously delicious dinner! Chef's Table catered and it was sa-weet!

We had some dang good chicken and noodles and veggies and then on all of the tables they brought out Edible Arangements in a football vase-thingy.. After filling up and grabbing another drink and program, we headed to our seats! We sat on the 9th row, right above the walkway on the 20 yard line. Seriously like the best seats ever. We waited for the game to start and did some serious people watching. The game started and the Utes quickly put some points on the board thanks our favorite over hyped quarterback, Jake Heaps.

Then Nicole's dad came out and presented the game ball with President Ucthdorf. We were all really excited to see him! The first half was a great game and we loved every time the utes would line up to kick off. We were like a little pocket of utah fans and the players would point flash their u's at us before! That was one of my favorite parts of the game! Another one of my favorite parts was when a hilarious utah fan sitting on our row yelled at the Utah defense on the field "Come on Defense! Score!!" Hahaha I still laugh when I think about it! That guy was a crack up! 


Before half time, Nicole and I ran out to beat the lines at the bathroom and then decided to just go back up to the food tent to get dessert and wait for her fam. (Ya, dessert too!) but right before half time, the utes scored again! Luckily there was a tv in the tent and we got to see it, but all the byu employees working in there were not too excited when we started cheering! haha suckers!


Nicole's sisters and dad soon met up with us and we ate our delicious crepes and fruit and enjoyed the view of the hottie utah fans sitting at our table. (Well, I did. hahaha)

We grabbed another drink (This was like number 48) and headed back down. We went up to visit Nicole's roommates and some of her friends on the very very top row! We spent most of the third quarter up there and that was when the cougs were starting to fall apart so we got some hilarious looks when we would cheer in the middle of the byu fans. haha so funny! We made our way back down and enjoyed the rest of the slaughter.
We watched the typical byu utah fan fights and even got some high fives from some coug fans on their way out, headed home in the middle of the 4th quarter. 


Right before the game ended we made our way over to the muss and waited for the Duel Trophy to be presented. We finished the night taking pictures and singing the school song and cheering on our utes! 
The best part was that most of the byu fans left early which means that traffic was a breeze coming home too! 


It was such a fun night and I am so glad that I got to go!
